Terms of use
Last updated 10 October 2026
By using Covenfire you agree to these terms. They're short, and written to be read.
The service
Covenfire is a free virtual tabletop, offered as-is, without guarantees that it will always be available, error-free, or keep your data forever. Keep your own copies of anything you can't afford to lose. Features and limits may change.
Plans
Every account starts on the free plan, which sets how much image storage you get and how many campaigns you can run (the current numbers are on the home page and your dashboard). Joining other people's campaigns is never limited. We may move accounts to other plans with more room or extra features, for example for beta testers, and may change what each plan includes. If a limit goes down, nothing you already have is deleted: you just can't add more until you're under it again. There are no paid plans or payments today.
Your account
You log in with Discord or Google and are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time from your dashboard (see the privacy page for what that removes).
Your content
Maps, images, characters and text you add stay yours. You give us permission to store them and show them to the people in your campaigns, which is what's needed to run the table. Only upload what you have the right to share.
The same goes for sound you share with your table (an app window or browser tab) and your screen: you're the one sharing it, so only share what you're allowed to play for the people at your table.
Fair use
- Don't upload illegal content, or content that harasses, threatens or exploits anyone.
- Don't try to access campaigns you weren't invited to, or get around the server's limits.
- Don't use it to store or share files unrelated to playing games. There's a storage quota per account for uploaded images.
- Don't overload the service (automated traffic, scraping, flooding a table).
Accounts or content that break these rules may be removed.
Third parties
Covenfire is unofficial fan software. It isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Wizards of the Coast, D&D Beyond, Discord, Google or Spotify. Spotify isn't a feature of the public service: a few private, invite-only accounts can connect their own Spotify account, under Spotify's terms and at their own responsibility. Included rules material comes from the System Reference Document 5.1 and 5.2 by Wizards of the Coast LLC (CC BY 4.0) and from Open5e (OGL 1.0a and ORC licences). Dungeons & Dragons, D&D and D&D Beyond are trademarks of Wizards of the Coast LLC; other names belong to their owners.
